Maternal and Newborn wing

CCBRT’s Maternal and Newborn wing is being built to cater for the vulnerable Tanzanian women population including the poor and disadvantaged.

This is because affordability and accessibility of services are major barriers to quality health services in the country. Skilled attendance during delivery and access to 24 hours comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) are crucial when handling complicated deliveries, and results in saving lives of mothers and newborns and preventing impairment and disability.

The targeted patients will include; former obstetric fistula patients, women with disabilities and some referred high-risk clientele from the Regional Referral Hospitals based upon agreed criterion and understanding working in partnership with the Regional Medical Office.
